Your Print Specialists becomes reseller for Agfa’s Anapurna

Partnership that will see YPS add the Agfa Anapurna engine and associated software and consumables to their portfolio of print brands
L-R: Garry Brown - Director, Paul Fitch - Agfa, Georgia Brown - MD and Lauren Parker - Sales Manager

Established in 2009, YPS is a print supplies reseller within the Screen, Litho and Digital Wide Format print market. They supply hardware, software, and consumables for many brands, including Mimaki, Roland and Epson, and they service customers nationwide. They are particularly strong in the North of England, where they are based and have built long-standing relationships with many independent printers. A team of 14 staff at YPS support their customers with a proactive service of supply and extended warranty packages, and with a team of in-house engineers, service work can be carried out too.

Georgia Brown, MD of YPS, said of this latest development, “We are really excited about this new partnership with Agfa. This move to add the Agfa Anapurna brand to our portfolio is a natural expansion of our product range, as it provides a choice of wide format options and fills a price gap in our current offering. We will be supplying the Agfa Anapurna print engine range plus the inks and the Asanti workflow.”

The wide-format hybrid Agfa Anapurna LED series is perfect for sign shops, digital printers, photo labs and mid-sized graphic screen printers that want to combine board and roll-to-roll print jobs. The engine options print from 1650mm up to 3200mm in width and combine high quality with fast productivity for outdoor and indoor, rigid and flexible wide-format jobs. The white ink function creates possibilities for printing on transparent material for backlit applications or for printing white as a spot colour. An optional automatic board feeder helps increase productivity too. The engines are fitted with air-cooled UV LED lights to save energy, costs, and time. The Agfa thin ink layer technology ensures the lowest ink consumption in the market, and the engines are powered by the Agfa Asanti workflow software.

“I have known the team at YPS for many years, and we are delighted to now have them on board as a reseller of our popular Anapurna range,” said Paul Fitch, Head of Inkjet at Agfa UK & Ireland. “It’s a great fit for our business, they have a loyal customer base who appreciate the independent technical advice that YPS give on the best print solution for their business. Many of their customers have been looking at the growth in the wider format market, and the Anapurna range will provide a great solution to many of their enquiries. I am looking forward to working with them.”

YPS facilities are in Camperdown Industrial Estate in Killingworth, Tyne and Wear NE12 5US, where they have a Creative Centre with many open days for visitors to experience the latest digital print technologies and witness the inspirational applications they can provide.  The business is also heavily involved in promoting the industry to the next generation working closely with local colleges and businesses that may benefit from printing experience. They launched ‘Your Print Institute’ in 2021 as an initiative to help close the skills gap in the market, and they offer courses and work with specialists to share knowledge.
