In June this year, we announced that Guardian Display had purchased a Vanguard UV VKR3200 3.2m roll-to-roll printer from SEDO – Large Format Solutions.
On 15th July, the machine was installed and is already making a big difference in the Guardian print room.
Guardian’s managing director Anthony Booty, told us, “The guys at SEDO worked well with our team and did a great job installing the new printer. It’s only been a few weeks, but we can already see what a huge difference this machine is going to make to our business.”
He adds, “We went for the Vanguard because it can print directly to polyester fabric and then go directly to the finishing area to be stitched and prepared for installation. The most important thing for us is that we can do much more in-house without having to outsource work. This means we can keep costs down and retain margin, which gives us more scope to work on new projects and initiatives.”
To support the additional work the Vanguard provides, Guardian has also just installed a Hightex 7510N flatbed sewing machine.
Andy McGuinness, managing director of SEDO – Large Format Solutions, “We are delighted to say that we have installed the UK’s first Vanguard printer. We have worked with Guardian for some time, and we recognised that this would be a great printer that would help them achieve their objective of bringing more work in-house. We arranged to take Anthony to Vanguard’s Italian offices to see the machine, and he agreed this would be the right printer for his business.”
Anthony adds, “I can’t thank SEDO enough for their support throughout this purchase. From going out to Italy and viewing the machine, installation, and training, they have been first-class. They were with us for a whole week making sure the team knew what to do. It’s been an incredibly smooth process and I am very happy with them. Now, we can’t wait to really get to know this printer and see exactly what it can do and how it will boost our business.”
