Attendees share their love for the first Print Growth Roadshow 

A day that began as a typical Autumnal Tuesday in London ended in bright warm sunshine on a 15th floor roof terrace with an incredible view and even more time to get to know new people in our industry.

This inaugural event in the smart surroundings of One Creechurch Lane in Aldgate, hosted by Howden Insurance, began with a relaxed vibe, great coffee and an opportunity to meet old friends and new contacts.

A tabletop exhibition area had representatives from sixteen organisations ready to introduce their products and services to the 100+ delegates who arrived during the course of the day.

Seminars and workshops covering tips and advice on how to grow your business were held throughout the day, along with a good quality buffet lunch. Further networking opportunities were provided at the conclusion of the event on the rooftop terrace with drinks and canopies.

Sam Armstrong, Founder and CEO of Make it Happen Signage Consultancy: “I was so pleased to have been invited to speak at the Print Growth Roadshow. The room was full, there was no pressure, and there were some great conversations and new connections. The organisers really did pull some great people together.”

Craig Brown, CEO of ISA-UK: “It was hard to believe this was a new event as it had the feel of a well-established show. The venue was superb, the flow from room to room worked well, and the vibe throughout the day was really positive. You know it’s working when people are engaging naturally, and there are no pregnant pauses. I was really pleased to have been involved, and I look forward to seeing how these sessions evolve.”

The perfect day for creating and cementing new contacts

Heidi-Jane Fowler, International Account Manager for Lahnpaper, joined the event from Germany: “It was inspiring listening to the market changes and the sharing of ideas. Naturally it was great to see old faces and meet some new ones – definitely worth the long day.”

In conclusion, the event’s founder, Colin Sinclair McDermott, says, “We have a special print family building here, and today just proves to me why events like this that bring us all together to network and learn collectively are so important for the industry. We will look for ways to improve days like this and aim to roll more Roadshow Events out across the UK and Ireland in 2024.”
